April News and Updates

Welcome new member 👏

Please join us in welcoming our latest member, UC San Diego, to the AR Alliance!

The unique collaboration between UC San Diego’s Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience and the Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination has given rise to an interdisciplinary team of neuroscientists, computer scientists and artists working together to pose problems in new ways and advance scientific methods and knowledge with full STEAM ahead.  Their combined methods leverage recent advances in lightweight biometric sensors, virtual reality, eye tracking, EEG, as well as state-of-the-art immersive Virtual Reality.  Their lab (located at the Supercomputer Center for Neuroscience, UCSD) has a wide variety of neuroscientists.  The lab is also renowned for the use of the MoBI lab, a research space dedicated to virtual reality experiments.

Don’t miss out on your membership benefit - showcase your solution at our networking lounge

The AR Alliance will have a networking lounge at the Expo at AWE USA 2025. We will have a large, free-standing space, measuring 20 feet x 20 feet (about 6 meters x 6 meters).

The Expo will run for 3 days, from June 10th to 12th. As a member, your company or organization is invited to use our space to showcase or display your product, solution, or prototype. This is a good opportunity for members to share their work with other members and the AWE attendees.

There is still space available! If you are interested, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing [email protected]

To encourage participation, free 3-day all-access AWE passes will be made available to those doing showcases or displays at our networking lounge. Note that the deadline to sign up for free AWE passes through the AR Alliance is May 21st. Sign up here.

Panel discussion on the Nexus Stage

The AR Alliance will host a panel discussion on the Nexus Stage at the AWE Expo on Tuesday, June 11th at 4:15PM.

Please come to our panel discussion and show your support. The topic will be AR Alliance with Insights for Mass Market Adoption of AR Products. More details will be posted here.

Another opportunity to receive a free AWE pass

We also have free 3-day all-access AWE passes for those who sign up to be Expo volunteers.

Q&A: Exactly what would I be required to do as a volunteer? During your shift, you would be expected to attend to our networking lounge with at least one other volunteer. Expo attendees will stop by to ask questions about the alliance. Fellow alliance members will also stop by to chat and use the space. The networking lounge will serve as a comfortable and welcoming home base for our members.

See here for details and to sign up.  Note that the deadline to sign up for free AWE passes through the AR Alliance is May 21st.

    • Bernard will mentor and guide our technical working groups

A bit of housekeeping…
